Day 1: Athens - Arrival

Arrival to Athens and transfer to the hotel. At night we provide and evening transfer to PLAKA area. This neighborhood is full of small Greek taverns where you can enjoy the rich folklore of this country.  

Airport Pick-up Information

1. Please provide us with your flight information at the time of booking or at least 15 days prior to your tour departures. We will arrange pick-up base on your flight arrival time. 

2. Your tour E-Voucher will have contact information of the transfer provider/ emergency contact number.

**Note: The transfer provider in the airport will wait for a maximum of 1 hour approximately after the arrival of the flight. If you are going to delay more than expected, please contact by telephone.

- If your flight has a connection with another European city and your airline changes your flight number and times you should inform the transfer provider. Otherwise, you will have to arrange your own transfers.

Day 2: Athens

Summary of The Day

In the morning, we will enjoy a panoramic tour of the city with a local guide which includes the Presidential Palace, the Panathinaikos stadium where the first modern Olympic games were held, the national library, the bustling squares of the center; the new neighborhoods that emerged after the 2004 Olympic games. The tour will end at the Acropolis site (entry not included).

Free time during the day to walk around and discover unforgettable places.

Day 3: Athens - Corinth - Mycenae- Tripoli - Olympia

Summary of The Day

In the morning, we leave for the Peloponnese region. We make a stop at the CORINTH CANAL.

After this, we have time in the immense fortress of ACCRA CORINTH. At the top of the settlement are the foundations of what was a temple to Aphrodite. We go on to MYCENAE, a colossal citadel from the eighteenth century BC, the birthplace of the first European civilization. We stop in TRIPOLI, the provincial capital of a region that produces excellent wines.

In the middle of the afternoon, we go on our way to OLYMPIA.

Day 4: Olympia - Patras - Amfilochia - Arta - Igoumenitsa (Ferry)

Summary of The Day

We will visit OLYMPIA archaeological site with a local guide. You will have a chance to visit its museum and archaeological site (guided tour, ticket to the park not included) which the cradle of the Olympic games in ancient times. We will get back on route to PATRAS, Greece’s third largest city. We will visit its active, lively center.

Afterwards, we will travel to Northern Greece, AMFILOCHIA. Short stop in this quiet coastal town; ARTA, a city in the Epirus region that has a Roman bridge. Arrival in IGOUMENITSA. Suppertime and boarding to cross the Ionian Sea. Night on board, overnight accommodation in double cabins with private bathroom.

(we recommend bringing a handbag along to spend the night on board. Breakfast on the boat Sunday morning is not included)

The ferry used, which is the only one available, leaves at one in the morning, but boarding is not usu- ally possible until after midnight. Sometimes due to late arrival, the ferry might be delayed. It is a simple ferry (double cabins with private bathroom). Occasionally, due to weather conditions, vessel inspection or shedule changes, strikes, fully booked ferryboats or other reasons, we are forced to adapt the schedules of the following day itinerary according to the berthing time of the ship or fly from Athens to Rome, in which case the visits to Amfilochia and Arta are cancelled and a Sunday visit to Naples and Pompeii is included

Day 5: Brindisi - Trani - Naples - Rome

Summary of The Day

Arrival in BRINDISI early in the morning. We will follow the Adriatic coastline in Southern Italy. We will visit TRANI, a picturesque little town by the sea, and its fishing port, its old cathedral and its lively streets. Lunchtime.

We will resume our trip to NAPLES, where we will arrive in the afternoon. Short sightseeing tour in its historic centre before resuming our journey to ROME

Day 6: Rome

Summary of The Day

In the morning, we have a scenic tour of the city, which will be a great introduction to “The Eternal city”.

First, we enter the tiny state of the Vatican, the principal center of Christianity in the world. You will be able to visit St. Peter’s Basilica

And then, we will move to Roman Colosseum (admission included), the principal symbol of Rome. This impressive construction dates back 2,000 years and will transport us in time so that we can learn about ancient society in the Roman Empire.

In the evening we provide transport to the Via Cavour area where you will find restaurants serving Italian, Indian, Chinese and international food.

We will leave Rome, heading north. This route is graced with beautiful landscapes.

Upon arrival in FLORENCE, we head straight to Piazzale Michelangelo, an impressive site in the city. After lunch, we provide a tour with a local expert, and walk through the historic centre, taking in places such as the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Plaza della Signoria. This city is truly an outdoor museum. Free time to explore.

Day 8: Florence - Venice

Summary of The Day

Today we enjoy stunning mountain landscapes while crossing the Apennine Mountains.

Arriving in VENICE, we will board a Vapporetto to travel around on the canals in the historic center. With a local guide, we will visit the marvellous St Marck´s (Plaza de San Marcos) and enter the marvellous basilica (entry cost included).

Afterwards, we shall be able to visit the Murano glass factory. It is marvellous to see the technique how this ancient glass is made.

At the end of the afternoon, you will have the chance to eat dinner in the Mestre area, where you can choose the type of restaurant that you prefer (Indian, Oriental, Italian, etc.)

Day 9: Venice - Verona - Lugano- Zurich

Summary of The Day

We will depart from Venice, travelling to VERONA. We will provide a shuttle from parking to the historic centre. Our guide will instruct us on the places where you will be able to walk in Romeo and Juliet’s city - the city of lovers!

Afterwards we continue the journey to Switzerland. LUGANO the cosmopolitan capital of the Italian Switzerland with its beautiful lake. Very beautiful lakes and mountains with snow-capped peaks line our route.

Arrival in ZURICH. Free time in the historic center next to the lake, where you will be able to dine in your chosen restaurant that you prefer.

Day 10: Zurich - Grindelwald - Lucerne - Zurich

Summary of The Day

Today´s stage has beautiful landscapes with high mountains and lakes. Breathtaking scenery in the region of Interlaken. GRINDELWALD where we will have time for a coffee before taking the cable car (ticket included) up to Grindelwald first. We will walk along the path (30 minutes) in which we shall be able to take the ¨footbridge over the empty¨ among the fantastic scenery enjoying glaciers around us. Lunch included (vegetarian option available).

After that we continue to LUCERNE, one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland.

Time at the end of the day to stroll, enjoy the city and dine before returning to the hotel in Zurich.

Day 12: Paris

Summary of The Day

scenic guided tour to discover the history, main boulevards and the breathtaking monuments of Paris. We end the visit at the Eiffel Tower area. You will have the opportunity to climb up to the second floor of this remarkable metal monument (ticket admission included). End your visit with a boat cruise along the River Seine, which divides the north of Paris from the south. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore as you choose.      

At sunset transfer to the “Quartier Latin”, a very picturesque area of the historic center where you can enjoy dinner with a wide variety of international cuisines.

Return to hotel.

Sometimes queues to climb the Eiffel Tower are long. For organizational reasons, if deemed appropriate, the climb can be made at a different moment of the day (or Monday).

    3. Minors cannot travel on their own. All bookings must have a legal guardian or adult over the age of 18, unless where dictated by law.

    4. For 3 persons sharing a triple room, a mattress or sofa-cum bed will be offered for the 3rd passenger. This is subject to change based on availability at the hotels.

    5. No more than a maximum of 4 persons (including infant/child) can be accommodated in a room. 

    6. Children above 3 / under 18 must always be accompanied either by their parents or legal guardians, or with written confirmation signed by them which authorizes the child to travel with a given adult who assumes complete responsibility for the child.

    7. For Infants under the age of 3 years, there will be a mandatory charge applicable (for seat in coach only). Please contact our sales staff before making the reservation. If you are a family of 4 people travelling and one of the members is under 3 years old, your reservation will be in a triple room but please, take into account that in most hotels in Europe, the maximum number of people accepted per room is 3, including the baby under 3 years old so, in these cases, we strongly recommend reserving 2 double rooms.

    8. Children price is only applied to children under 15.

    9. The transportation provided is overland and is made by coach, with the size of the vehicle being adapted according to the number of passengers. If the number of registered participants on a circuit is very low, in order to fulfill our commitment of “Guaranteed Departures”, local operator may provide as a transport a private vehicle or minivan driven by our guide. Likewise, a section of the trip could be undertaken by regular train, airplane, bus or cruise, in which case, customers will not be assisted by an accompanying tour guide. On numerous routes, there will be one or more changes of coach / guide during the tour.

    10. It is very important that travelers check the place of departure on their voucher. No shows at that place on the date and time confirmed can involve losing the purchased services without any right to a refund of the same, with a lack of punctuality incurring the same consequences, both at the beginning of a tour and during the course of the same.

    11. Wheelchairs is not available on the transportation.

    12. The luggage allowed for each passenger on our tours is limited to one piece of a maximum of 30 kg. It is allowed to take a bag or day-pack (without wheels) in the coach cabin, although the passenger is responsible for their custody. It is the responsibility of the passenger to ensure the safety of their luggage & belongings at all times, especially in public areas. The tour operator/tour guide/coach driver, cannot be held responsible for any loss of personal belongings while on tour.

    13. The per person price includes USD $120 non-refundable tour deposit fee.

    14. A passport valid for six months beyond the length of stay and issued within the past 10 years is required to be carried by all nationals. 

    15. We highly suggest all customer to book your flights tickets only after you receive your tour E-Voucher.

    Globerouter will not be responsible for any flight cancellation/change charges incase of any changes before final confirmation. 

Cancellation / Modification and Refund Policy

The following terms apply to the refund policy when canceling or changing an order

2. Modify an order

2) Globerouter will take no responsibility for matters as stated above under personnel / natural / manmade exigencies.

3) No part / full refund / compensation will be offered to passengers who miss taking our tours (OR) for any un-utilized services, as per the date / time scheduled on the E-Voucher because all services are reconfirmed and prepaid for Charges as mentioned in our "Cancellation / Modification and Refund Policy" would be applicable.

4) All cancellation & tour modification requests should be emailed to info@globerouter.com.

5) We will not accept any cancellation / modification requests made through local tour provider / tour guide (OR) verbal requests made over the phone to our customer support staff / by voice mail

6) Cancellation request emails will not be accepted unless they have a complete, signed and attached "Globerouter Cancellation Request Form".
