Itinerary

Day 1: Home - Lima

Summary of The Day

Arrival in Lima, meet and greet at the airport, transfer to your hotel.

In the afternoon we will have a tour through Lima’s streets and plazas.

Starting at “Parque del Amor” (Love Park) in Miraflores, with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean, and then we are heading to the Huaca Pucllana, ceremonial center of the Lima culture, for a panoramic view. 

After this, we go on to the Main Square where the Government Palace and the Town Hall are located. We will visit the Cathedral and explore the Santo Domingo Convent, along which corridors San Martin de Porres and San Rosa de Lima used to walk around in 17th century, and where their remains rest today.

Stay overnight in Lima.

Note

1. Cathedral of Lima is not open on some national holidays.

2. Saturday PM and Sunday AM Cathedral closed. We offer entrance to Lima Art Museum – MALI.

3. You are not allowed to enter religious places in shorts. 

4. You are not allowed to take photographs in the Cathedral.

Day 2: Lima ✈️ Cusco

Summary of The Day

Transfer to the airport and flight to Cusco.(flight fares NOT included)

On arrival, meet and greet at the airport, transfer to your hotel.

In the afternoon our exclusive city tour starts with a visit to the San Cristobal Plaza to enjoy its panoramic view of the city.

Then, we will visit the San Pedro Market to soak in its local flavors and to learn about more of the products grown in the area which supply the whole city.

After this, the Korikancha temple will welcome us in all his magnificence; this temple, whose Quechua name means “Gold Enclosure” still bedazzles us with the thought of its gold covered walls.

Then it is the turn to visit the Santo Domingo Church.

We will walk from San Blas, the artisans’ neighborhood, to the Hatun Rumiyoc street, stopping at the Inca Roca Palace, nowadays home to the Archbishop’s Palace and also at the famous Twelve Angle Stone.

We will continue our walk to the Main Square to visit the Cathedral and its valuable and beautiful colonial masterpieces.

Day 3: Cusco City Tour

Summary of The Day

In the morning we will distance from the crowds and visit Sacsayhuaman, a huge and impressive fortress of colossal constructions and surrounded by beautiful views blending together perfectly.

Our adventure continues at the Inca Shrine Qenqo, to see the sacrificial altar embedded inside a rock cave.

Finally we will arrive to the Puca Pucara viewpoint and Tambomachay, monument of impressive architectonic knowledge considered as one of the pillars of Andean Cosmo vision.

Located on a hill north of the Cusco Arms Square, Sacsaywaman is considered to be the Inca ruins of scale and spectacular just outside Machu Picchu. This huge stone formation overlooks the city of Cusco, and the remains of the big stone are the largest stones that historians have seen in Cusco and surrounding areas, weighing about 300 tons.

Day 4: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu - Cusco

Summary of The Day

A train trip away to see one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. We arrive at the Aguas Calientes station where our staff will assist us on boarding the bus to go up the winding road to Machu Picchu, amid a spectacular view of the Urubamba River and its canyon

After a guided visit, we will have lunch at one of the restaurants in the area.

At the arranged time, we will return to Cusco and will be transferred to the hotel.

Luggage Policy

1. In all Machu Picchu Train services passenger may bring onboard a carry-on baggage. The checked allowance is:

2. The large suitcase can be kept in the hotel in Cusco.

3. We highly recommend you pack the things you need for the trip to Machu Picchu

Day 5: Cusco - Puno

Summary of The Day

Departure on a tour bus to Puno.

On the way we'll stop to visit the attractions this beautiful route has to offer.

The first stop: Andahuaylillas for a visit to its beautiful chapel, then its Racchi, Temple of the Wiracocha god.

Then it's lunch time and the opportunity to see the view at La Raya, natural border between Cusco and Puno.

Before our final destination we will visit the in site Pucara Museum and a chance to get one of the local classic bull shaped ceramics.

We will arrive in Puno at the end of the afternoon.

Day 6: Puno

Summary of The Day

A morning trip to visit the “people of the lake”. A visit to the Uros’ handmade islands and their inhabitants who will welcome us to their peculiar life style. It is hard to believe but these friendly locals live, get an education and make a living on these floating islands.

In the afternoon we will visit the pre-Inca cemetery of the Hatun Colla chiefs in Sillustani, on the shore of Lake Umayo. A great trip to see the funerary towers or Chullpas reaching up to six meters high. Stay at Puno.

Day 7: Puno - Copacabana - Sun Island - LA Paz

Summary of The Day

Early land transfer to Copacabana Sanctuary. Visit to Copacabana.

Board the Catamaran Cruise Ship, snack on board while sailing to Sun Island, the legendary birthplace of the Inca Empire. Visit the Inca Garden, steps and fountain followed by the Inti Wata Cultural Complex including the Ekako Underground Museum, the traditional medicine and the Titikaka Reed Shipbuilders display centers, the Pachamama agricultural Inca terraces, a handicraft center, the Intica lounge and at the Manco Kapac look out the largest variety of Andean camelids. Also, the Inti Wata Complex at Sun Island includes a unique sailing experience aboard a huge Titikaka traditional vessel for a panoramic visit to the Pilkokaina Inca Palace. Buffet lunch on board while sailing on Lake Titicaca.

Day 8: La Paz

Summary of The Day

In the morning it is time for our city tour which begins in the typical Witches’ Market, then is off to the Colonial San Francisco Church and the Murillo Plaza in which we will find the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Government Palace and the Parliament.

Then we will walk around the famous Jaen Street where the most important museums of La Paz are located, to later move to different directions like the residential areas of Obrajes, Calacoto and la Florida to end our tour in the spectacular Valley of the Moon.

    12. Comfortable and light clothes are convenient when visiting coastal areas of Peru, while warmer clothes are required for stays in Andean mountain areas.

    14. Sun protection, sun glasses, a hat and mosquito repellent can be very useful during your stay.

2) Globerouter will take no responsibility for matters as stated above under personnel / natural / manmade exigencies.

3) No part / full refund / compensation will be offered to passengers who miss taking our tours (OR) for any un-utilized services, as per the date / time scheduled on the E-Voucher because all services are reconfirmed and prepaid for Charges as mentioned in our "Cancellation / Modification and Refund Policy" would be applicable.
