Itinerary

Day 1: Home - Lima

Summary of The Day

Arrival in Lima, meet and greet at the airport, transfer to your hotel.

In the afternoon we will have a tour through Lima’s streets and plazas.

Starting at the Love Park in Miraflores, with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean, and then heading to the Huaca Pucllana, ceremonial center of the Lima culture.

After this, we go on to the Main Square where the Government Palace and the Town Hall are located. We will visit the Cathedral and explore the Santo Domingo Convent, along which corridors San Martin de Porras and San Rosa de Lima used to walk around in 17th century, and where their remains rest today.

Stay in Lima.

Note

1. The default hotel of this trip is a local economy 3-star hotel. You can also choose to upgrade to a local comfortable four-star hotel or a luxury five-star hotel when booking.

2. On the 5th day, the special train to Machu Picchu during the trip defaults to the Peru Rail landscape car (Vistadome). If you want to upgrade to a better view, take a more comfortable Sacred Valley car. Please choose when booking.

Later, we will head to the Park of the Reserve to enter the Magic Water Tour, the newest entertainment icon in the city.

Day 3: Lima - Cusco

Summary of The Day

Transfer to the airport and flight to Cusco.

On arrival, meet and greet at the airport, transfer to your hotel.

In the afternoon our exclusive city tour starts with a visit to the San Cristobal Plaza to enjoy its panoramic view of the city.

Then, we will visit the San Pedro Market to soak in its local flavors and to learn about more of the products grown in the area which supply the whole city.

After this, the Korikancha temple will welcome us in all his magnificence; this temple, whose Quechua name means “Gold Enclosure” still bedazzles us with the thought of its gold covered walls.

Then it is the turn to visit the Santo Domingo Church.

We will walk from San Blas, the artisans’ neighborhood, to the Hatun Rumiyoc street, stopping at the Inca Roca Palace, nowadays home to the Archbishop’s Palace and also at the famous Twelve Angle Stone.

We will continue our walk to the Main Square to visit the Cathedral and its valuable and beautiful colonial masterpieces.

Day 4: Sacred Valley

Summary of The Day

The Sacred Valley of the Incas will welcome us today.

We will visit a tourist complex - Awanacancha.

We will then continue to Inca and Colonial Pisac. Discover one of the most beautiful archeological sites in the Sacred Valley at the top of the mountain where you can have a view of the colonial town of Pisac.

Walking tour to the Colonial town. Time to do some shopping at the handicraft market.

Then, we will head to the impressive Inkariy Museum. Here we will enjoy a delicious lunch.

Awanacancha, a tourist complex where we will see and feed the Andean camelids such as the llamas and alpacas, and where the locals will show us the weaving and dyeing techniques of their traditional textiles. Alpacas are unique animals of the Andes. Their cute images have been popular all over the world. Many people come to Peru to take a look at the cute alpaca. The Avana Kancha is the only alpaca farm in the Sacred Valley and will be kept separately by species. There is also a textile museum, where you can learn about the difference between alpaca and goat wool, and the traditional craftsmanship of Peru, using plants, insects and ores as natural dyes for alpaca.

Day 5: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu

Summary of The Day

Today, we come to the less explored treasures of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

First stop is Moray, a place with breathtaking views thanks to its colossal concentric terraces resembling a coliseum.

Then, we will continue our journey to Maras, the millenary colonial salt mines.

In the afternoon, we will head towards the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo.

Later, we will catch the train at the Ollantaytambo station, head to Aguas Calientes and get settled in the hotels (now, Machu Picchu town).

Day 6: Machu Picchu - Cusco

Summary of The Day

We will board the bus to go up the winding road to Machu Picchu, amid a spectacular view of the Urubamba River and its canyon.

The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will astonish us with its terraces, ceremonial shrines, steps and urban areas.

After a guided visit, we will have lunch at one of the restaurants in the area.

At the arranged time, we will return to Cusco and will be transferred to the hotel.

    12. Comfortable and light clothes are convenient when visiting coastal areas of Peru, while warmer clothes are required for stays in Andean mountain areas. 

    13. Visitors should not wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or skimpy clothing when visiting religious or official buildings. 

    14. Sun protection, sun glasses, a hat and mosquito repellent can be very useful during your stay.

    15. All rates are per person and apply only to foreign passengers.

    16. Prices may change without warning and can only be guaranteed once the reservation has been made.

    17. Two full-sized beds per room. No additional bed for children, 3rd or 4th travelers. No smoking in hotels.

2) Globerouter will take no responsibility for matters as stated above under personnel / natural / manmade exigencies.

3) No part / full refund / compensation will be offered to passengers who miss taking our tours (OR) for any un-utilized services, as per the date / time scheduled on the E-Voucher because all services are reconfirmed and prepaid for Charges as mentioned in our "Cancellation / Modification and Refund Policy" would be applicable.

4) All cancellation & tour modification requests should be emailed to info@globerouter.com.

5) We will not accept any cancellation / modification requests made through local tour provider / tour guide (OR) verbal requests made over the phone to our customer support staff / by voice mail
