Day 1: Edinburgh/Glasgow - Portree

Summary of The Day

From Edinburgh, we will head west to collect our Glasgow passengers.

Then we will make our first stop at the picturesque conservation village of Luss, on the 'Bonny, Bonny' banks of Loch Lomond.

Travelling north via Tyndrum we pass over the atmospheric Rannoch Moor, enjoying time to walk and admire the dramatic Glencoe valley, site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald Clan.

After lunch in the Fort William area, we will pause for photos at Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis, then stop to admire Glen Garry and the stunning Five Sisters of Kintail mountain range.

Our journey ends in the charming village of Portree, on the Isle of Skye, where we check into our accommodation.

Day 2: Isle of Skye

Summary of The Day

After breakfast, we will depart Portree for a full day's touring - options include Dunvegan Castle, or a trip to Uig and a stop to visit Flora MacDonald's grave and the unique Black Houses, ancient dwellings of the Scottish Highlanders.

We continue our journey where we can view Duntulm Castle, take photos of Kilt Rock and perhaps enjoy a walk at the Lealt Falls.

Our 3 day Isle of Skye tour ends with the opportunity to admire the Old Man of Storr, before we return to Portree.

Day 3: Isle of Skye - Edinburgh

Summary of The Day

We commence our descent via the much-admired Eilean Donan Castle, background for the movie ‘Highlander’ (interior closed in winter).

Then we will move on to the pretty loch-side village of Fort Augustus for lunch and views of Loch Ness.

The Isle of Skye tour continues south over Laggan and the Grampianmountains with our last stop.

Our last stop is the Victorian resort town of Pitlochry, we will stop for refreshments.

Tour ends in Edinburgh.


*If the 3 day Isle of Skye tour has no Glasgow pick-ups it will travel from Edinburgh via Stirling and will not visit Loch Lomond but offer an alternative route.

*All featured castles open April-October - alternatives offered during October-March which may alter the route.

    6. Regretfully we cannot carry children under the age of 5 years on our scheduled tours.

    8. Luggage is limited to 1 small to medium-sized suitcase or bag per person.

    9. Please note accommodation is not included in the tour price. 

    10. We suggest you wear warm clothes and comfortable shoes. In case of rainy days in England, please bring waterproof clothes and enough socks.

    11. For extended (multi day) tours, the minimum number of passengers required for tour departure is 4 passengers, which helps to minimise the impact on the environment. The Company reserves the right to cancel any extended tour where the minimum number is not reached. 

    12. We kindly request that passengers arrive at the departure point 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE PUBLISHED DEPARTURE TIME as the coach must depart on time and cannot wait for late-comers. This is for the benefit of all customers, and allows us to visit all stops for the full amount of time, offering you the most out of your tour. You can find your Published Departure Time on your booking confirmation. Arrival in time for tours departing and finding the departure point are the responsibilities of the customer.

    13. We advise you take out travel insurance.

    14. Tour prices are for transport and Driver-Guide only. All other attraction entrance fees, cruise tickets, food and drink, accommodation etc, are additional optional extras, payable locally by the Customer at their own expense. 

    15. Our multi-day tours return to Edinburgh Waverley Station and we will provide you with a free train ticket to return to Glasgow. 

Cancellation / Modification and Refund Policy

1. Cancel or change an order

The following terms apply to the refund policy when canceling or changing an order

1) Reducing the number of travelers

Modification service fee will be applicable over & above the cancellation charges.

4) Rescheduling tour departure date

This request will not be accepted if the travel date is within 07 days or lesser.

2. Modify an order

Charges to modify an order apply for the following:

3) For requests to reschedule tour departure date

This request will not be accepted if the travel date is within 10 days or lesser.

4) For requests to change name of passengers

This request will be accepted until 3 days prior to the travel date, however same service fee as below will be applicable.

1) We recommend all our passengers to avail "Travel Insurance" to protect themselves against personal / natural / manmade exigencies of all kind (including medical & family emergencies, accidents, flight delays, traffic delays, theft or personal- acts of terrorism, natural calamities etc.) that may affect you from participating in our tours (OR) arise while on tour.

2) Globerouter will take no responsibility for matters as stated above under personnel / natural / manmade exigencies.

3) No part / full refund / compensation will be offered to passengers who miss taking our tours (OR) for any un-utilized services, as per the date / time scheduled on the E-Voucher because all services are reconfirmed and prepaid for Charges as mentioned in our "Cancellation / Modification and Refund Policy" would be applicable.

4) All cancellation & tour modification requests should be emailed to info@globerouter.com.

5) We will not accept any cancellation / modification requests made through local tour provider / tour guide (OR) verbal requests made over the phone to our customer support staff / by voice mail

6) Cancellation request emails will not be accepted unless they have a complete, signed and attached "Globerouter Cancellation Request Form".
