Itinerary

Day 1: Edinburgh - Cairngorms National Park

Summary of The Day

You head north through the Kingdom of Fife to Lindores Abbey Distillery. This modern Scottish distillery is built on the site of the first ever recorded distiller in the country.

After lunch in Pitlochry, you can sample the delights of Scotland's highest distillery at Dalwhinnie, near the source of the River Spey.

Once you've warmed with this dram of “the gentle spirit”, you continue through the Cairngorms National Park before reaching Grantown on Spey, your base for two nights.

Day 2: Scotland Whisky Region

Summary of The Day

A whole day exploring Scotland’s most famous whisky region!

After a scenic drive towards the coast, your first stop of the day is at the family-owned Benromach Distillery, where you can go on a personalised tour.

You travel back up the Spey River to Craigellachie for a visit to the Speyside Cooperage, where you see another aspect of the whisky making process.

After lunch here or in nearby Aberlour, you visit Glenfiddich Distillery, home to the world's most popular single malt.

Tradition and passion have shaped the distinctive flavours of this Speyside favourite since the Grant family first started distilling in this area more than 130 years ago. From here, you travel back to Grantown on Spey.


Benromach Distillery - They say all Speyside whiskies used to be smoky. This distillery brings the classic flavour back to life.

Speyside Cooperage - Learn about the lifecycle of a whisky cask.

Glenfiddich Distillery - A family-owned distillery that is known as the best-selling whisky in the world.

The River Spey - One of Scotland’s most important rivers for salmon farming and whisky distilling.

Speyside Cooperage is only visited on Monday and Wednesday departures.

Day 3: Glenlivet - Edinburgh

Summary of The Day

In the morning you visit Glenlivet, which is both a distillery and a beautiful glen with serene walks and wonderful wildlife.

You then enjoy the majesty of Royal Deeside. You pass by Balmoral Castle, and stop in the village of Braemar in the heart of the National Park.

From here the route south passes over Scotland's highest mountain pass, through Perthshire, and back to Edinburgh.


Glenlivet Distillery - Tucked away in a remote glen you’ll find one the most famous flavours of Scotland.

Elgin - Visit this spirited town and explore the best little whisky shop in the world.

Royal Deeside - Throughout history, the Royal Family have loved exploring this gorgeous region of Scotland.

Reminder

    3. Please ensure safety of your luggage always, especially in public areas. The tour operator or the tour guide cannot be held responsible for any loss of personal belongings.

    4. Please note that City Pass and any attraction admission tickets purchased by yourselves are not allowed in the tour.

    5. Tour is not wheel chair accessible.

    6. Children under the age of 5 are not permitted on this tour.

    7. Child rate applies to children aged 5-15, based on 1 child sharing a room with parent(s) or 2 children in a twin room.

    8. Passengers are restricted to one medium sized suitcase/bag no more than 15kg (Height 70cm x Width30cm x Depth 45cm) and one small carry-on bag per person. Luggage is carried free of charge but at the passenger’s own risk. We recommend surplus luggage be stored at the railway station or alternatively check with your accommodation provider if they offer luggage storage facilities.

    9. Where a room for 2 passengers has been requested by the Operator but not confrmed as a double or twin room, the Company will default the request to a double room.

    10. We suggest you wear warm clothes and comfortable shoes. In case of rainy days in England, please bring waterproof clothes and enough socks.

    11. Two full-sized beds per room. No additional bed for children, 3rd or 4th travelers. No smoking in hotels.

    12. We advise you take out travel insurance.

    13. Accommodation is dispersed around various towns and villages, rarely more than a 10-15 minute walk from the centre, although on occasions this can be 20-30 minutes. Taxis are available if necessary. If you have access needs or specific requirements please let us know when booking. Late bookings and/or peak season may limit the choice and location of available accommodation.

Cancellation / Modification and Refund Policy

1. Cancel or change an order

The following terms apply to the refund policy when canceling or changing an order

1) Reducing the number of travelers

Possible only 23 days prior to the tour departure date.

Modification service fee will be applicable over & above the cancellation charges.

4) Rescheduling tour departure date

This request will not be accepted if the travel date is within 07 days or lesser.

23 Days (or) more prior to tour departure date 90% of tour cost paid will be refunded

2. Modify an order

Charges to modify an order apply for the following:

1) For requests to add more number of travelers

Subject to availability of seats.

2) For requests to change to a different tour

Possible only 31 days prior to the tour departure date.

Cancellation charges as above will be applicable over & above the modification service fee.

3) For requests to reschedule tour departure date

This request will not be accepted if the travel date is within 07 days or lesser.

4) For requests to change name of passengers

This request will be accepted until 3 days prior to the travel date, however same service fee as below will be applicable.

1) We recommend all our passengers to avail "Travel Insurance" to protect themselves against personal / natural / manmade exigencies of all kind (including medical & family emergencies, accidents, flight delays, traffic delays, theft or personal- acts of terrorism, natural calamities etc.) that may affect you from participating in our tours (OR) arise while on tour.

2) Globerouter will take no responsibility for matters as stated above under personnel / natural / manmade exigencies.

3) No part / full refund / compensation will be offered to passengers who miss taking our tours (OR) for any un-utilized services, as per the date / time scheduled on the E-Voucher because all services are reconfirmed and prepaid for Charges as mentioned in our "Cancellation / Modification and Refund Policy" would be applicable.

4) All cancellation & tour modification requests should be emailed to info@globerouter.com.

5) We will not accept any cancellation / modification requests made through local tour provider / tour guide (OR) verbal requests made over the phone to our customer support staff / by voice mail

6) Cancellation request emails will not be accepted unless they have a complete, signed and attached "Globerouter Cancellation Request Form".
