Day 1: ARRIVAL ATHENS

Summary of The Day

On your arrival at Athens airport, a representative will greet you and transfer you to your selected hotel in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle.

The afternoon is free at leisure for exploring this never sleeping city. And if you want to explore the city by night, you have the chance to enjoy an optional night out in Athens. 

Note

Comfortable and light clothing is the most suitable for travelling in Greece. Visitors should not wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or skimpy clothing when visiting temples, religious or official buildings. Sun protection, sun glasses, a hat and mosquito repellent can be very useful during your stay.

Day 2: ATHENS CITY TOUR

Summary of The Day

Begin your day with a mouthwatering breakfast at your hotel, preparing to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city, during a memorable city tour. 

Our expert guide will take you to see the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896. Stop for a few moments and then continue your tour passing by the Prime Minister's residence- the former Royal Palace, guarded by the Euzones in their colourful uniform. Then, see the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament, the memorial of the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, University, National Library, and the lovely Constitution Square (Syntagma).

Go to Acropolis to visit the Architectural Masterpieces of Athens' Golden Age: The Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, and finally "the harmony between material and spirit" and the monument that "puts an order in mind"- Greece's imposing Parthenon.

Summary of The Day

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel, and get ready to discover the island of Santorini, on your own. Stroll the delightful alleys, and admire the white Cycladic houses lining the cliff tops. Perhaps, get in touch with history while visiting the Akrotiri site, known also as the Pompeii of Greece. Maybe visit Canava, admiring its vineyards and distillery.

Then, indulge in the incredible local food. The number of great restaurants is impressive, and the traditional dishes promise to amaze your taste buds.

Late in the afternoon, you can visit the fascinating, little village of Oia to watch a hypnotizing sunset.

Day 6: ATHENS – DELPHI – KALAMBAKA

Summary of The Day

After a delicious breakfast, leave for Delphi via Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova, on the slopes of Mount Parnassus. Wander around spellbinding Delphi, and visit the interesting Archaeological Site. Afterwards, depart for beautiful Kalambaka, passing through the picturesque villages and spectacular towns of Central Greece.

Proceed to Kalambaka for a delightful dinner and overnight.

Indulge in a luscious breakfast at your selected hotel. Then, head towards Meteora, one of Greece's most famous landmarks that earned a special place on UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Monuments. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery and get closer to the Greek glorious history and culture. Admire the ageless Monasteries, standing between earth and sky, atop huge rocks and containing priceless historical and religious treasures.

Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae. Have a short stop to see, across the road, the Leonida's Monument, and arrive in Greece´s capital city early in the evening.

"City of the Sky" - Meteora, also known as "the ridiculous mountain of Greece", is famous for the Mount Olympus where the gods once lived and the amazing Meteora Monastery. Millions of years ago, it was a vast ocean, and later the movement of the earth's crust and the impact of the sea made it a stone forest. Meteora monastery is situated on top of these towering rocky hilltops. About 1,000 years ago, there were hidden monks here. They climbed the towering peaks by wooden ladders and ropes, living in natural caves, praying, praising and repenting. So far in the vicinity of the village of Kastraki, we can also find the ancient and broken caverns of the 11th century concealed monks that remain on the steep cliffs. The legendary hero 007 James Bond in the movie has also been here.

    5. In case of extreme weather condition, war, strike and other force majeure events, local operator reserves the right to change the itinerary and all costs are not refundable.
    6. In case of guests voluntarily giving up the tour because of personal reasons, all costs including hotels, transportation etc. are not refundable.
    7. You are advised to confirm with local tour operators one day ahead of the tour.
    8. Please bring valid documentation on travel date (passport, driving license, visa, etc).
    9. National Park Pass / City Pass / Entry Tickets / Annual or Season Passes / Senior Pass (or) any admission tickets to attractions purchased on your own are not allowed on this tour. All mandatory / optional tour services, have to be purchased as instructed in the exclusions section.
    10. Children at 18 or under 18 years old must be accompanied by a partner at 19 or 19+ years old.
    11. The attractions may be subject to change on November 28, December 25, January 1 and other special days.
    12. Tour is not wheel chair accessible.
    13. The adult price applies to all children (18 and under).
    14. We highly suggest all customer to book your flights tickets only after you receive your tour E-Voucher. Globerouter will not be responsible for any flight cancellation/change charges incase of any changes before final confirmation. 

Cancellation / Modification and Refund Policy

10 Days (or) lesser prior to the tour departure date The entire tour cost will be forfeited & No-Refund

2. Modify an order

Charges to modify an order apply for the following:

1) For requests to add more number of travelers

Subject to availability of seats.

2) For requests to change to a different tour

Possible only 31 days prior to the tour departure date.

Cancellation charges as above will be applicable over & above the modification service fee.

3) For requests to reschedule tour departure date

1) We recommend all our passengers to avail "Travel Insurance" to protect themselves against personal / natural / manmade exigencies of all kind (including medical & family emergencies, accidents, flight delays, traffic delays, theft or personal- acts of terrorism, natural calamities etc.) that may affect you from participating in our tours (OR) arise while on tour.

2) Globerouter will take no responsibility for matters as stated above under personnel / natural / manmade exigencies.

3) No part / full refund / compensation will be offered to passengers who miss taking our tours (OR) for any un-utilized services, as per the date / time scheduled on the E-Voucher because all services are reconfirmed and prepaid for Charges as mentioned in our "Cancellation / Modification and Refund Policy" would be applicable.

4) All cancellation & tour modification requests should be emailed to info@globerouter.com.

5) We will not accept any cancellation / modification requests made through local tour provider / tour guide (OR) verbal requests made over the phone to our customer support staff / by voice mail

6) Cancellation request emails will not be accepted unless they have a complete, signed and attached "Globerouter Cancellation Request Form".
