Itinerary

Day 1: ARRIVAL ATHENS – CAPE SOUNIO – ATHENS

Summary of The Day

On your arrival at Athens airport, a representative will greet you and transfer you to the selected hotel, in a comfortable air-conditioned luxury car. In the afternoon drive along the coastal road, passing the wonderful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, and Varkiza to the most Southern point of Attica, Cape Sounio, where the white marble pillars of the Temple of Poseidon stand. On the way, you have a splendid view of the Saronic Gulf and the little islands offshore. After visiting the Temple of Poseidon, you have time to walk at leisure on the rocky promontory of Sounio, before returning to your hotel.

In the evening you have the opportunity to book an optional Night out in Athens tour. Your evening begins with a short panoramic drive through the city centre, and on the slopes of the sacred hill, you will be able to see, admire and take photos of the illuminated Acropolis. Then a pleasant walk through the narrow picturesque streets of Plaka, the old city, will bring you at a Typical Greek Tavern where you will enjoy your dinner following a floor show with live music and Greek Folk Dances in traditional costumes. Otherwise, enjoy the afternoon at leisure. 

Note

Comfortable and light clothing is the most suitable for travelling in Greece. Visitors should not wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or skimpy clothing when visiting temples, religious or official buildings. Sun protection, sun glasses, a hat and mosquito repellent can be very useful during your stay.

Day 2: ATHENS – CANAL OF CORINTH – EPIDAURUS –NAUPLION – MYCENAE – OLYMPIA

Summary of The Day

Indulge in a delicious breakfast at the hotel before taking the coastal road to the Corinth Canal. Stop for a few moments and then drive towards the Theatre of Epidauros, famous for its remarkable acoustics.

Afterwards proceed to the town of Nauplion and stop to take some stunning photos. Continue driving towards Mycenae to visit the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. Then depart for Olympia through Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Overnight in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games.

So far in the vicinity of the village of Kastraki, we can also find the ancient and broken caverns of the 11th century concealed monks that remain on the steep cliffs. Day 5: KALAMBAKA – ATHENS

Summary of The Day

Begin your day with a delightful breakfast at the hotel. Then, visit the mesmerising Meteora. Among striking scenery, perched on top of huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless Monasteries, where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae, enjoying a short stop to see the Leonida's Monument across the road.

Arrive in Athens early in the evening and continue with your travel arrangements.

Late drop off at the airport is included. Estimated arrival time at the airport is 20:00 hrs.

    6. In case of guests voluntarily giving up the tour because of personal reasons, all costs including hotels, transportation etc. are not refundable.

    8. Please bring valid documentation on travel date (passport, driving license, visa, etc).
    9. National Park Pass / City Pass / Entry Tickets / Annual or Season Passes / Senior Pass (or) any admission tickets to attractions purchased on your own are not allowed on this tour. All mandatory / optional tour services, have to be purchased as instructed in the exclusions section.
    10. Children at 18 or under 18 years old must be accompanied by a partner at 19 or 19+ years old.
    11. The attractions may be subject to change on November 28, December 25, January 1 and other special days.
    12. Tour is not wheel chair accessible.
    13. The adult price applies to all children (18 and under).

Cancellation / Modification and Refund Policy

The following terms apply to the refund policy when canceling or changing an order

2. Modify an order

Charges to modify an order apply for the following:

1) We recommend all our passengers to avail "Travel Insurance" to protect themselves against personal / natural / manmade exigencies of all kind (including medical & family emergencies, accidents, flight delays, traffic delays, theft or personal- acts of terrorism, natural calamities etc.) that may affect you from participating in our tours (OR) arise while on tour.

2) Globerouter will take no responsibility for matters as stated above under personnel / natural / manmade exigencies.

3) No part / full refund / compensation will be offered to passengers who miss taking our tours (OR) for any un-utilized services, as per the date / time scheduled on the E-Voucher because all services are reconfirmed and prepaid for Charges as mentioned in our "Cancellation / Modification and Refund Policy" would be applicable.

4) All cancellation & tour modification requests should be emailed to info@globerouter.com.

5) We will not accept any cancellation / modification requests made through local tour provider / tour guide (OR) verbal requests made over the phone to our customer support staff / by voice mail

6) Cancellation request emails will not be accepted unless they have a complete, signed and attached "Globerouter Cancellation Request Form".
