Day 3: Marathon –Thunder Bay – Kenora

Summary of The Day

Today we will leave for the third largest port in Canada - The Thunder Bay. The Port of Thunder Bay is an important link in the fluvial transport of grains and other heavy products from the west through the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence Seaway to the east coast.

Here at Terry Fox Scenic Overlook, we're going to listen to Terry Fox's story.

After dinner, we go to Kakabeka Falls, which is 40m high and represents a major portage on the road from Fort William (Thunder Bay) to Fort Garry (Winnipeg).

After that, we go to Dryden to trace the miners.

In the evening, we will arrive in Kenora and take pictures with the biggest ice fish.

Also, we visit Beacon Hill Park to take pictures mile "0" marker, the Pacific terminal of the Trans Canada Highway.

    5. Hotel Accommodation is based on two adults sharing one bed room, excluding child fare. For three adults (Triple) or four adults (Quad) per room sharing two twin/queen beds, please specify at time of booking.

    6. Tour is not wheelchair accessible.

    8. The type of tour coach depends on the number of guests.

    11. Guests who depart from U.S. need to bring American passport or Green Card OR valid American and Canadian visas.

      eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) has been launched since March 15, 2016:  

      - U.S. permanent residents (with the green card) who enter Canada by flight need to hold eTA. If you enter Canada by land or sea, eTA is unnecessary.

      - Students and temporary workers (from the countries where eTA is necessary): If you got a Student Visa or Work Visa before 15th March 2016, getting eTA is necessary before entering and departing from Canada by air.

      How to apply for eTA to Canada?   

      - Applying for eTA online, and you need to prepare your passport, credit card, and e-mail address. The application fee is CAD$7. eTA can be valid for 5 years.

Cancellation / Modification and Refund Policy

1. Cancel or change an order

The following terms apply to the refund policy when canceling or changing an order

2. Modify an order

3) For requests to reschedule tour departure date

This request will not be accepted if the travel date is within 07 days or lesser.

4) For requests to change name of passengers

This request will be accepted until 03 days prior to the travel date, however same service fee as below will be applicable.

2) Globerouter will take no responsibility for matters as stated above under personnel / natural / manmade exigencies.

3) No part / full refund / compensation will be offered to passengers who miss taking our tours (OR) for any un-utilized services, as per the date / time scheduled on the E-Voucher because all services are reconfirmed and prepaid for Charges as mentioned in our "Cancellation / Modification and Refund Policy" would be applicable.

4) All cancellation & tour modification requests should be emailed to info@globerouter.com.

5) We will not accept any cancellation / modification requests made through local tour provider / tour guide (OR) verbal requests made over the phone to our customer support staff / by voice mail

6) Cancellation request emails will not be accepted unless they have a complete, signed and attached "Globerouter Cancellation Request Form".
