Day 1: Tangiers - Seville

Summary of The Day

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Arrival. Travel via ferry from Morocco to Europe. Welcome to Spain! We leave for Spain by ferry.

The coach will not travel on board, and each passenger will be required to carry their own piece of luggage. We arrive in Algeciras or Tarifa and continue to SEVILLE.

Evening arrival and hotel accomodation.



Tangiers is a port city in northern Morocco. It is built along the coastal hillside and has regular ferry links to Tarifa, the southernmost city in Spain. Tangiers is the "international middle ground", where strange things will happen. There are ruins of public baths and oil shops in ancient Rome, the famous Kasbah Lighthouse, the Monument to the Declaration of Independence issued by Mohammed V, and the Powerful Holy.

Day 2: Seville

Summary of The Day

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Guided visit with local expert in Seville. Boat trip along the river Guadalquivir. Night transfer to the historic city centre.

After breakfast, a local expert guides you through a scenic visit of Seville featuring the Cathedral and its famous Giralda (bell tower), the banks of the Guadalquivir River, popu­lar neighborhoods of Santa Cruz and Triana and the beautiful Plaza de España. After the tour, we will include a boat trip along the river Guadalquivir, enjoying the panoramic views from the boat. Enjoy leisure time straight afterwards. At the end of the afternoon, we will go to the historic city centre area (Calle Alfonso XII). Here there are many different types of restaurantes for you to choose from, enjoy your dinner.

(note: If the group is fewer than fifteen travellers, it can be arranged in both Spanish and English).



Seville is the art, culture and financial center of southern Spain, and the capital of Spain's Andalusia Autonomous Region and Sevilla Province. With a population of about 1.3 million, it is the fourth largest city in Spain. The Guadalkieville River flows through the city. Architecture in ancient urban areas still retains traces of Moorish rule centuries ago. Seville used to be an important port. Spanish fleets brought large quantities of gold and silver from the New World and transported them through Seville to various parts of Europe. The twelfth equilateral gold tower on the banks of the Guadalkieville River in the city was built in 1221. The ancient outer walls were covered with gold bricks, showing the prosperity of Seville at that time. Seville hosted the 1992 World Expo.

Day 3: Seville - La Rábida Monastery - Mértola - Evora - Lisbon

Summary of The Day

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Entrance in the Carabelas Museum were Christopher Columbus started his voyage to America. Chapel of the bones in Evora.

We leave Seville and travel through the province of Huelva, traveling to PALOS DE LA FRONTERA. We will visit the Carabelas Museum (entrance included); this is where Columbus set sail for America on 3 August 1492. We will also see the Rábida Monastery (entrance included), declared a World Heritage site, a Franciscan monastery strongly linked to the Discovery of America. After this we will travel to Portugal, stopping in MERTOLA, an ancient Muslim city. Time to take some lunch.

After lunch, we travel through white villages, and come to EVORA city. Also declared a World Heritage site, with its wide streets, its Renaissance policies and cathedral. We will visit the impressive Chapel of Bones (entrance included), built with 5000 skeletons!

Continuing to LISBON, arriving at the end of the day.

The Church, built with thousands of skeletons and skulls, is one of Evora's most visitable attractions. The church itself was built in the late 15th century. The style of the church is a mixture of Gothic and Manuel styles. It became a famous place in the early 16th century. In the 16th century, in order to make better use of urban land, the human bones of 42 monastery cemeteries in the city of Evra were collected and placed here, and used as decorations for the inner walls of churches. About 5,000 skeletons decorated the ceilings, pillars, windowsills and walls, and monks also used different parts of the bones to make patchwork of different shapes.

Day 4: Lisbon

Summary of The Day

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Visit Lisbon. Evening transfer.

In the morning we have a sightseeing tour with a local guide (note: ex­planations may be given by our guide if the group has fewer than twelve people) . We visit tra­ditional neighbourhoods, which take in the Belem district, the birthplace of the great Portuguese navigators who sailed the oceans in the Fifteenth Century. We will look around the Monument to the Discoveries, Belem Tower, and the beautiful Jeronimos Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure to explore the city independently.

In the late afternoon, we transfer to the Restauradores Square, a public square with restaurants and cafes. We suggest you ride the Elevador Da Gloria funicular that takes you to the viewpoint of San Pedro with beautiful views over Lisbon and the Bairro Alto. Return to the hotel.



Lisbon is the stunning capital city of Portugal, and is one of the most charismatic and vibrant cities of Europe. Urban area 84.6 square kilometers, population is about 540 thousand, It is a city that effortlessly blends traditional heritage, with striking modernism and progressive thinking. As a holiday destination, Lisbon offers a rich and varied history, a buzzing nightlife and is blessed with a glorious year-round climate.

Day 5: Lisbon - Fatima - Madrid

Today we travel to the north of Portugal and visit FATIMA, an important sanctuary (a pilgrimage site). We will continue on our way through the green lands of the centre, passing into Spain, and over grasslands we cross the North of Extremadura. Lunch included en route in a regional food restaurant . Continuing to MADRID, arriving at the end of the day. Then we include transportation to Plaza Mayor where you can enjoy at some typical taverns.



Fatima is a town and Parish located 142 km (88 miles) North of Lisbon. Fatima is one of the most important catholic shrines in the world dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Fatima’s Sanctuary welcomes millions of pilgrims and tourists from all over the world.

Day 6: Madrid

Summary of The Day

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Madrid city tour. Stroll through the Retiro Park. Visit to the Plaza de Toros de las Ventas bullring. Night transfer.

The morning starts with a comprehensive tour through the centre of Madrid including Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, the Gate of Alcalá, Plaza de Colón and Plaza Mayor. We then visit to Retiro Park, an oasis in the city centre, where we will see the lake and the Glass Palace. A visit to Las Ventas Bullring (admission included) is next, this is one of the most famous bullrings in the world where we will learn about the tradition of “corridas” in the Bullfighting Museum. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. At sunset we provide a transfer to Plaza de Oriente, opposite the Royal Palace, an elegant and bustling area with many restaurants serving different cuisines such as local Spanish food, international, and Chinese. Enjoy a pleasant dinner of your choice, then return to hotel together.

Retiro Park is the largest and most famous park in the centre of Madrid, the capital of Spain. It was originally established by the Spanish Royal Family in the 16th century and opened to the public in the 19th century. There is a glass palace built of iron and glass in the park. Las Ventas Bullring is the most famous bullfight in Spain. It was built in 1929 and opened on June 17, 1931 in the Kindalera District of Salamanca, east of Madrid. It has 25,000 seats. The diameter of Las Ventas Bullring is about 65 meters, and it is one of the largest ring in the world. The architect is Espeli, with a new Moorish style. The fare depends on the distance from the stage and in the sun or shade (the latter is more expensive). The bullfight season begins in March and ends in December. The time usually begins at 6 or 7 p.m. and lasts for two or three hours.

Day 7: Madrid - Granada

Summary of The Day

TODAY’S HIGLIGHTS: Lunch included. Entrance and local guide in the Alhambra. Evening transfer.

We leave Madrid in the early morning (if the group of English-speaking travellers is small, they may share the trip to Granada with Spanish-speaking passengers). We travel to the south across La Mancha, stopping in PUERTO LAPICE, a ‘manchego’ village evoking the figure of Don Quixote. We will enter Andalusia via Despeñaperros, arriving in GRANADA. Lunch included.

In the afternoon we will visit the immense Alhambra Palace, with entrance and local guide included, and its beautiful Generalife gardens, built in Arab times.

In the evening we visit the Albaicín district of Granada, a World Heritage site along with the Alhambra, where you can enjoy dinner in the narrow winding streets of this captivating Medieval Moorish quarter.

Note: In the Alhambra complex, the Nazari palaces allow a limited number of people in at a time. In the highly improbable case of not being able to visit this area of the Alhambra, a visit to the Alcázares will be included in Seville (which have similar architecture and features).

Tonight, you have the option to attend a flamenco dance show and the traditional neighbourhood of Sac­romonte.



Granada is the capital of the province of Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. Granada is located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains. According to the 2003 census, the city's population is 237,663, ranking 13th in the Kingdom of Spain. About 3.3% of the population has no Spanish nationality, of which 31% come from South America. There is a pomegranate in Granada's emblem, because in Spanish, it is called Granada. The famous Moorish palace, Alhambra Palace, is in Granada. Granada also has a famous University of Granada in Spain.

Alhambra Palace

The Alhambra was so called because of its reddish walls (in Arabic, (qa'lat al-Hamra' means Red Castle). It is located on top of the hill al-Sabika, on the left bank of the river Darro, to the west of the city of Granada and in front of the neighbourhoods of the Albaicin and of the Alcazaba. The palace was built by the former Moorish King of Granada, and now it is a Muslim Museum of architecture and culture. There are 30 meters high stone walls outside the palace wall. There are two main groups of buildings: one is the 'Pomegranate Courtyard' and the other is the 'Lion Courtyard'.

Day 8: Granada - Tangiers

Summary of The Day

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Step aboard a boat to Morocco.

Departure from Granada. We cross the Costa del Sol. In Algeciras or Tarifa we board a modern ferry to cross the Straits of Gibraltar. The coach does not normally make the crossing, so passengers must carry their lug­gage. Arrival in Morocco to Tangier.

    1. Globerouter liaisons with top local tour operators in Europe to conduct this tour.

    2. The sequence of itinerary , travel time , tour departure / drop-off points mentioned are subject to change without prior notice based on departure date, weather, driving conditions, etc.

    3. Minors cannot travel on their own. All bookings must have a legal guardian or adult over the age of 18, unless where dictated by law.

    4. For 3 persons sharing a triple room, a mattress or sofa-cum bed will be offered for the 3rd passenger. This is subject to change based on availability at the hotels.

    5. No more than a maximum of 4 persons (including infant/child) can be accommodated in a room. 

    6. Children above 3 / under 18 must always be accompanied either by their parents or legal guardians, or with written confirmation signed by them which authorizes the child to travel with a given adult who assumes complete responsibility for the child.

    7. For Infants under the age of 3 years, there will be a mandatory charge applicable (for seat in coach only). Please contact our sales staff before making the reservation. If you are a family of 4 people travelling and one of the members is under 3 years old, your reservation will be in a triple room but please, take into account that in most hotels in Europe, the maximum number of people accepted per room is 3, including the baby under 3 years old so, in these cases, we strongly recommend reserving 2 double rooms.

    8. Children price is only applied to children under 15.

    9. The transportation provided is overland and is made by coach, with the size of the vehicle being adapted according to the number of passengers. If the number of registered participants on a circuit is very low, in order to fulfill our commitment of “Guaranteed Departures”, local operator may provide as a transport a private vehicle or minivan driven by our guide. Likewise, a section of the trip could be undertaken by regular train, airplane, bus or cruise, in which case, customers will not be assisted by an accompanying tour guide. On numerous routes, there will be one or more changes of coach / guide during the tour.

    10. It is very important that travelers check the place of departure on their voucher. No shows at that place on the date and time confirmed can involve losing the purchased services without any right to a refund of the same, with a lack of punctuality incurring the same consequences, both at the beginning of a tour and during the course of the same.

    11. Wheelchairs is not available on the transportation.

    12. The luggage allowed for each passenger on our tours is limited to one piece of a maximum of 30 kg. It is allowed to take a bag or day-pack (without wheels) in the coach cabin, although the passenger is responsible for their custody. It is the responsibility of the passenger to ensure the safety of their luggage & belongings at all times, especially in public areas. The tour operator/tour guide/coach driver, cannot be held responsible for any loss of personal belongings while on tour.

    13. The per person price includes USD $120 non-refundable tour deposit fee.

    14. A passport valid for six months beyond the length of stay and issued within the past 10 years is required to be carried by all nationals. 

    15. We highly suggest all customer to book your flights tickets only after you receive your tour E-Voucher.

    Globerouter will not be responsible for any flight cancellation/change charges incase of any changes before final confirmation. 

    16. The price airport taxes, visas, taxes to enter or leave a country, tips (which must be paid directly to the driver and/or guide), extras in hotels, optional activities, and usually drinks during meals.

1) We recommend all our passengers to avail "Travel Insurance" to protect themselves against personal / natural / manmade exigencies of all kind (including medical & family emergencies, accidents, flight delays, traffic delays, theft or personal- acts of terrorism, natural calamities etc.) that may affect you from participating in our tours (OR) arise while on tour.

2) Globerouter will take no responsibility for matters as stated above under personnel / natural / manmade exigencies.

3) No part / full refund / compensation will be offered to passengers who miss taking our tours (OR) for any un-utilized services, as per the date / time scheduled on the E-Voucher because all services are reconfirmed and prepaid for Charges as mentioned in our "Cancellation / Modification and Refund Policy" would be applicable.

4) All cancellation & tour modification requests should be emailed to info@globerouter.com.

5) We will not accept any cancellation / modification requests made through local tour provider / tour guide (OR) verbal requests made over the phone to our customer support staff / by voice mail

6) Cancellation request emails will not be accepted unless they have a complete, signed and attached "Globerouter Cancellation Request Form".

7) The per-person price includes USD $120 non-refundable tour deposit fee. Cancelling a tour before it starts (at least 7 days prior notice) due to a rejected visa application will be refunded fully except for the non-refundable deposit fees.
