It is the only theme park designed and built under the direct supervision of Walt Disney. Walt Disney came up with the concept of Disneyland after visiting various amusement parks with his daughters in the 1930s and 1940s. He initially envisioned building a tourist attraction adjacent to his studios in Burbank to entertain fans who wished to visit; however, he soon realized that the proposed site was too small. After hiring a consultant to help him determine an appropriate site for his project, Disney bought a 160-acre (65 ha) site near Anaheim in 1953. Construction began in 1954 and the park was unveiled during a special televised press event on the ABC Television Network on July 17, 1955.

Disneyland Park consists of Main Street, Adventureland, Frontierland, New Orleans Square, Critter Country, Fantasyland, Mickey's Toontown, and Tomorrowland.

Artist District: The Arts District is a neighborhood on the eastern edge of Downtown Los Angeles. The gritty area has given new life to old industrial buildings whose history often dates to the early 20th century. While much of the early creative art was done behind closed doors, the street scene has slowly been activated in the early years of the 21st century as more and more factories are creatively reused with some new construction interspersed.

Bradbury Building: The Bradbury Building is an architectural landmark located at 304 South Broadway at West 3rd Street in downtown Los Angeles, California. Built in 1893, the five-story office building is best known for its extraordinary skylit atrium of access walkways, stairs and elevators, and their ornate ironwork. The building was commissioned by Los Angeles gold-mining millionaire Lewis L. Bradbury and constructed by draftsman George Wyman from the original design by Sumner Hunt. It appears in many works of fiction and has been the site of many movie and television shoots and music videos.

The Last Bookstore: The Last Bookstore is California’s largest used and new book and record store. Currently in our third incarnation, we began in 2005 in a downtown Los Angeles loft.

Grand Central Market: Grand Central Market opened in 1917 and has been in continuous operation since. A hundred years ago, Broadway was the principal commercal and entertainment corridor of downtown Los Angeles. Bunker Hill, to the west, was covered with stately Victorian mansions, and the area's stylish residents rode down on Angels Flight to shop for groceries in the Market's open air arcade.

Angels Flight Railway: Angels Flight is a landmark 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) narrow gauge funicular railway in the Bunker Hill district of Downtown Los Angeles. It has two funicular cars, Sinai and Olivet, running in opposite directions on a shared cable on the 298 feet (91 m) long inclined railway.

U.S. Bank Tower: U.S. Bank Tower, formerly Library Tower and First Interstate Bank World Center, is a 1,018-foot (310.3 m) skyscraper at 633 West Fifth Street in downtown Los Angeles, California. It is the third-tallest building in California

RIDE THE SLIDE Do you have what it takes? Experience the Skyslide, a 45-foot, fully enclosed, all-glass adventure landing on the exterior of the iconic US Bank Tower. Ride nearly 1,000 ft. above Downtown LA to experience the city from an entirely new perspective.

Melrose Ave. Boutiques (Most Instagrammable Walls and Street Art): Melrose really began to rise in the 1980's. It was a fast-moving time of trendy punk rock fashion, big hair. Off-beat, eclectic independent shops were beginning to dot Melrose Avenue. Overnight colorful storefronts and graffiti emerged alongside cutting edge hip clothing stores.

Sunset Blvd.: The Sunset Strip portion of Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood has been famous for its active nightlife since at least the 1950s. In the 1970s, the area between Gardner Street and Western Avenue was a center for street prostitution. Shortly after a well-publicized June 1995 incident, police raids drove out majority of prostitutes.
